Founded in 1911 by Albert A. Frost, Sr., Frost Hardwood Lumber Company has proudly remained family-owned and operated for more than a century. Through generations of dedication, leadership continues within the family today, with Gordon T. Frost, Jr., Bruce Frost, James Frost, and Byram Frost serving as active principals.

From Where We Started to Where We Are Today

For over 80 years, Frost Hardwood Lumber Company was proudly located in downtown San Diego. In 1991, the company relocated to 6565 Miramar Road, combining two facilities into one strong wholesale and retail operation.
Today, Frost’s office, warehouse, and lumber yard are ideally positioned to serve customers throughout San Diego County. The facility features a high-quality custom lumber mill, laminate and veneer press, truck and rail access, and approximately 80,000 square feet of covered storage space.

Our Capabilities & Services

We manufacture quality surfaced hardwoods and custom moldings from more than 50 stocked domestic and exotic hardwood species, giving customers access to one of the region’s largest hardwood selections.

While deeply rooted in the Southern California community, Frost Hardwood has expanded far beyond its original borders. Today, our premium wood products proudly supply:
